People from other countries and Vietnamese holding foreign passports (hereinafter called collectively to as foreigners) who enter, exit from, and reside in Phu Quoc island, for a stay period not far above 30 days shall be exempt from visas; foreigners who enter an international border-gate of Vietnam and stay in its transit lounge before taking a trip to Phu Quoc island shall also be exempt from visas.

The move arrives as part of a new decision signed by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on December 27 to support local authorities’ plan to modify the island into a major economic zone.

Phu Quoc is a UNESCO-recognized World Biosphere Reserve off Vietnam’s southeastern coast. As a district of Kien Giang Province, it has a total area of 574 square kilometers (222 square miles) and a permanent population of approximately 85,000.

Perfect beaches here are seemingly fascinating to those fond of unspoilt beauties. The one listed in the “World Hidden Beaches” is “Long Bank” (“Bãi Dài”), which is most gorgeous from October to March. The beach honorably positions higher in the list to many other world well-known beaches, like Wildcat Beach in California, the USA, Pink Beach in Barbuda, or Cayo Costa State, south Florida. Add Blog text here...
